Considering a Caravan Photo Booth?

Considering a Caravan Photo Booth?

Considering a caravan photo booth? Full disclosure – we don’t offer them at In the Booth and we’re happy to talk about why!

Firstly, some background. Photo booth hire includes various components of equipment. Of course there is the ‘booth’ part itself that guests stand or sit in. Then there the technical gear which encompasses a printer, camera and computer system to run the booth’s program. It may seem like a good idea to put all this equipment on wheels in a caravan! Why a caravan photo booth? Well, on one hand most people love a vintage caravan. They’re cute for sure! Another key point from the supplier’s end is that their set up and pack time efforts are greatly reduced. All equipment ‘lives’ in the caravan so there are fewer set up and pack down components.

Some more things to consider when hiring a caravan photo booth:

Indoor wedding reception?

A caravan photo booth will only work for your function if it’s being held in a warehouse style space with vehicle access. The vast majority of event venues we attend have guests celebrating indoors. A booth in a carpark or separate area comes with the ‘out of sight, out of mind’ issue. Guests tend to forget the caravan photo booth is there and results in less photos. For a photo booth to be truly successful, it needs to be in the same vicinity as your guests. The booth and the dance floor are a match made in heaven! If your guests are inside, so should the booth and dance floor.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Caravan photo booths are of course raised off the ground on wheels. This means guests in wheelchairs or with mobility issues will struggle to use the booth. At In the Booth we include complimentary wheelchair access as standard along with our Guest Cam service for guests that wish to remain seated.

Just talk to our friendly bookings team when you enquire. We’d be more than happy to include our specifications for you and ensure it meets your guests’ needs.

More image bang for your buck

Part of the fun of the booth is squeezing in just a few more! Caravans are surprisingly tight spaces once a few people are inside. Add to that a warm summer’s evening and no air conditioning and things can get a little…heated! Because of the tight space there’s only so much room to fit guests together in a photo. The vast majority of caravan booths require guests to be seated, which means a landscape photo. At In the Booth our images are all captured in portrait orientation. That means your gorgeous wedding dress will be captured in all it’s glory!

The best of indoor and outdoor boothing with Guest Cam

You’re not limited to one location for your event with Guest Cam. A caravan photo booth is tied to one spot in the traditional sense. Not so with Guest Cam! Our open, roaming booth experience lets guests travel your celebration space snapping photo as they please. Their photos will print out back at the booth and they can collect them later – or your friendly attendant may just hand deliver them! Some of our customers set up Guest Cam zones, especially for their guests to enjoy. We’ve seen everything from balloon backdrops to light up letters and everything in between.Wether you opt for an extra special custom backdrop or leave your guests to their own devices, Guest Cam is easy to use and heaps of fun for your guests.

Marybrooke Manor wedding for Kristopher & Jessica

MARYBROOKE MANOR WEDDING VENUE

About Marybrooke Manor

In the Booth Melbourne East has been attended beautiful weddings at the historic Marybrooke Manor for many years. It’s a super popular Dandenong Ranges venue and why wouldn’t it be. Who wouldn’t want to get married at a beautiful Manor?!

Marybrooke’s historic estate dates back to the 1940’s. Nestled on the edges of the Sherwood Forest, even it’s location is straight out of a fairy tale. Marybrooke Manor offers the enviable advantage of 20 four star accommodation suites so your bridal party can stay in style.

In the Booth Melbourne East is predominately located in the Dining Room when celebrating weddings. In addition we have also been set up in the Lounge of Foyer. Our location depends on your guest seating plan. The lovely Deborah at Marybrooke will be able to advise you on the best location for the booth at your wedding.

Marybrooke Manor Wedding

Kristopher and Jessica’s wedding was just gorgeous! Jessica was every inch the picture perfect bride in full lace gown. Kristopher stood out from his groomsmen with the unique choice of a different coloured suit which we loved. Jessica’s beautiful bridesmaids wore the most stunning blue gowns that all differed slightly in style. In addition the handsome groomsmen modelled blue ties and pocket squares to match the ladies. Unique touches such as these are what really makes a wedding day your own. Kristopher and Jessica certainly achieved that!

A few light sprinkles of rain on the day did nothing to dampen everyone’s spirits. In fact one of our favourite images from their day is that gorgeous photo under the umbrella. Lemon and Lime Photography caught the perfect moment at the perfect time wouldn’t you agree?

Marybrooke Manor Wedding Reception

Kristopher and Jessica’s reception kicked off in the evening at the timeless Marybrooke Manor. A gorgeous combination of white roses and gum leaf greenery dressed the guest tables. Candles twinkled among the white napery and florals. Soft white draping and a breathtaking chandelier set the stage for the bride and groom’s first dance.

The best was yet to come when the bride and bridesmaids surprised everyone (especially Kristopher!) with a feature number singing Shania Twain’s ‘From this Moment On’. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

Guests quickly got stuck into the party phase of the evening. The photo booth went off with a bang! Kristopher and Jessica chose our ever-favourite silver glitter backdrop We thought it set off the bride and groom portraits perfectly! Our lovely couple chose our ‘Two Hearts’ print design in soft pink to complement their sweet colour theme.

Last but not least, congratulations Kristopher and Jessica! Thank you for booking with In the Booth Melbourne East. We wish you both every happiness in your lives together ❤️

A note from the Bride…

Marybrooke Manor Wedding

“We didn’t have a theme per se, although we did have a colour theme/motif. Ours was blue (bride’s favourite) and green (groom’s). In my opinion, what made our day uniquely ours is the fact that I, together with my bridesmaids and my brother (on the piano), sang a surprise song, “From this Moment On” to the groom.”

Let’s get you boothing!

Planning your own wedding at Marybrooke Manor? We’ll help make it even more awesome!

Audio Guest Book…but with Video!

Audio guest book hire has been introduced to the wedding market in recent times. Have you seen an audio guest book at a recent wedding? They are usually a vintage style telephone that guests can pick up the handset and record a message to the bride and groom.

We’ve had clients ask us if we provide audio guest book hire and we’re happy to say, yes we do! However there’s a few main differences with In the Booth’s service though which we’ll detail below.

Our audio guest book includes video

First and foremost, our favourite reason! In the Booth launched our video guest book service back in 2011 to rave reviews from our customers. Guests can simply select ‘video message’ via the photo booth touch screen and record a fifteen second video. Our enclosed booths record crisp high definition sound along with video of your guests. If you’d like an even more special reason to see why our video booth is a better option when balanced against audio only – check out video #4 below ❤️

We take care of everything

Most audio guest book services will ship you the telephone and associated devices. The customer (that’s you!) is responsible for setting up the equipment at their event. We’ll let you in on a little industry truth – weddings are hectic! Even a job as simple as plugging in and testing hired equipment can add complications to your day. Sure, you can allocate a family member or guests to the task. However, they’re going to have a busy day too. Remember, they’re there to see you get married! If there are any technical problems (and believe us, we’ve seen them all!) who is going to sort those out on the day? The last thing you want is no option for your guests to leave you messages at all.

We include a photo guest book too

But wait, there’s more! All our packages include a physical, traditional style guest book for your guests to add their photos and write personalised messages. In other words, In the Booth hire packages include two types of guest book – video and print. Both are huge hits with different guests for different reasons. The younger crowds absolutely love leaving video messages. Comparatively the older folk write the most beautiful and heartfelt messages in their own words.

The after care is on us

Finally with audio guest book hire you’re also expected to return the telephone recorder to the company you hired it from. It’s just one more thing you need to coordinate and require people power for after your wedding. Hopefully you’re jetting off to Europe, so you don’t want to be worried about who’s taking care of what! In the Booth will collate all your video messages in your beautiful USB folio ready to be shipped to you at a date of your choosing. Honeymooning at home? Great, it will be on the way to you in between 7-14 days. In Europe for a month? Perfect, we’ll automatically ship it to you as soon as you’re home.

Let’s get you boothing!

In the Booth Photobooths has a new website!

Mock Up

We’re super excited to announce In the Booth Photobooths has a sparkly new website! 🍾

Providing photo booth hire in so many locations means a website upgrade has been almost a year in the making. We’re passionate at In the Booth about transparency with all our inclusions and services. One thing you won’t find on our website is a one line text description for our inclusions such as ‘photos on USB’. What does that mean? What does the USB look like? Is it professionally packaged? When will it be delivered after my event?

We’re big on clear and plentiful information about each of our services so our customers can make informed choices. We’ve made sure our new website enhances our customer browsing experience and has them feeling more informed than ever! That’s why every single one of our photo booth experiences and inclusions has it’s own dedicated page on our website. If there’s something you need to know, it should be at your fingertips in our mobile friendly menu. Can’t find exactly what you’re after? Just reach out via our contact form and one of our friendly team will be right with you.

For our return customers, we hope you enjoy the improved navigation features and modern layout. Our old site has served us well with many of our customers telling us they loved it’s clear menu and easy to follow layout. Rest assured we’ve kept those things and just added some 2024 enhancements! Video features were a challenge on our outdated site so it’s been super exciting to add more “real life” video examples of our guest experiences throughout the site.

15th Anniversary Logo

Happy 15th birthday to In the Booth Photobooths!

The new In the Booth Photobooths website has launched just in time for our 15th birthday too! After months of hard work, it feels like the best birthday gift ever. We can hardly believe that 2024 will bring us into our fifteenth year of boothing. We’ve seen so much growth and change over those fifteen years but of course, there’s been some serious challenges too. Recent years have shown us all that nothing is certain, and especially so in business.

Our tight knit team and dedication to provide the best possible service to our customers that sees us still capturing magic in our booths today.

The last of our Christmas party hires are coming to a close over the next couple of weeks for 2023! Like most event hire businesses, In the Booth hits November and just keeps running! School formals make way for Christmas parties from late November. This year has been a flurry of last minute bookings which we always do our best to accommodate.

We’ve loved welcoming back so many of our return corporate customers from 2022 and earlier. We truly look forward to celebrating with your crews each year! Our attendants report back with stories of guests stating “oh, we’re so glad that got you guys back again this year, it’s the best part of our Christmas party!”. This is great to hear and drives us forward to making each year better and better for our return customers.

2024 is well on the road to filling date availability with many of the most popular celebration months booking out earlier than previous years. The only reason a business can exist to celebrate these milestones is their customers. No customers equals no business. Christmas Photo Booth Designs

Christmas photo booth hire is one of our favourite things we look forward to at In the Booth each year. It’s always an honour when we have return customers for their Christmas parties. Feedback such as “we couldn’t not have you back again, there’d be mutiny from the staff!” really makes our year!

A Christmas photo booth for your end of year party ticks a lot of boxes. Nothing couples entertainment and instant gifts quite like a photo booth. Not to mention, how are you meant to entertain everyone from Karen in accounts to Colin in despatch? The answer is always found in the booth!

Photo booth hire is the ultimate ice breaker. It can be quite difficult to entertain people in the “right way” at a corporate event. The booth takes away this worry for you. Rest assured guests will be raving about the booth for years to come – which is why so many of our customers ask us back year after year.

“Happy new year. Hope you had a fantastic break. I just wanted to thank you for your services and helping us make our Christmas party a huge success. The photo booth was a big hit and everyone loved it. Also, thank you for the Christmas card and USB containing all the pics/gifs. Cannot wait to start sharing these around. Would definitely look into working with you in the future.” IDP Education

Roaming Photobooth Explained!

Roaming photobooth isn’t the most common of photo booths. You may have heard the phrase before but what exactly does it mean?

History of the roaming photobooth

Let’s go back a few decades! One of the very first indications of a photo booth experience at an event were disposable cameras. They were fairly inexpensive back in the day. Most people invested big money into film cameras. Not so now with phone cameras attempting to compete with the professional camera market.

Disposable camera were readily available for holiday snaps or occasions where people didn’t want to tote a heavy camera. Couples would put them on their wedding tables and let guests snap away. It’s a fun idea to be sure. The only issue is that guests still need to know a little about what they’re doing! Developing film is costly. The last thing you want is a roll of blurry photos or photos from inside a toilet cubicle (yep, it happens!).

Some photographers offer reception packages. However let our pro photographer background let you in on a little secret – most photographers don’t like shooting receptions. Photography packages will include your ceremony and professional photos, and maybe a staged cake cutting shot. After that most photographers will finish for the evening. Why’s that? Because most couples don’t buy prints of “crowd” shots at their reception.

Roaming photo booth for the modern day

Enter, the roaming photobooth idea. A photo booth intersects perfectly with professional photography. When the reception starts, everyone starts to relax. It’s the perfect time for un-posed, candid shots. Sure – they may not be enlarged on your wall. Rest assured though some of your most precious wedding day memories will be capture in those candid shots.

The booth is built for candid in the best way! We all know how a photo booth works – or you will do if you’ve been to a wedding in the last decade! A roaming photobooth is a bit different though and we’ll explain why.

At In the Booth, our roaming photobooth service is via our unique Guest Cam. Guests can literally “roam” your celebration and snap away on their own device. Their photos, aka Guest Cams, will print out of the booth. Voila, your very own roaming photo booth without compromising on a traditional photo booth experience! Check out the sweet little video below.

There’s no limit on how many Guest Cams your guest can capture. They are most welcome to snap away all night! Every image captured will be safely stored in your USB folio that is sent to you after your celebration. We get so many emails from past customers surprised by the fun photos that they didn’t even know were taken!

The best feature without a doubt of our roaming photobooth is that we print. Many roaming services will capture the photos to be sent to you afterwards digitally. Not so with Guest Cam! Print and digital are all part of the hire package at no additional cost.

So what are you waiting for? Enquire today!
