Utopia @ Waterfall Gully Rainforest Wedding

Oliver and Julie’s wedding at Utopia at Waterfall Gully was nothing short of enchanting. Surrounded by towering trees and the gentle sounds of the waterfall, the couple exchanged vows in a dreamlike setting. Even the light rain that fell throughout the day only added to the romance. Rainy days are known for softening the rainforest light and making photographs even more breathtaking.

Julie looked radiant in a full-length lace gown, its delicate details perfectly complementing the venue’s timeless charm. Oliver, dressed in traditional attire, stood proudly by her side, his love and excitement clear for all to see. Their chosen color scheme of off-white tones. The clean palette was accented by vibrant orange roses and fresh eucalyptus greenery, brought warmth and elegance to the day. Every floral arrangement, from Julie’s bouquet to the ceremony arch, reflected their love for nature and beauty.

After the heartfelt ceremony, guests gathered inside the stone tea room for a cozy and elegant reception. Candlelight flickered against the historic walls as friends and family enjoyed a feast of locally inspired dishes. Laughter, music, and heartfelt toasts filled the space, with In the Booth Adelaide creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Despite the drizzle, Oliver and Julie’s love shone brighter than ever, proving that Utopia at Waterfall Gully is always magical—rain or shine.

Photo Booth Backdrop & Print Design

We loved Oliver and Julie’s selection of our Silver Glitter backdrop paired with their Foliage print design. Chat to us about how we can assist with carrying through your wedding theme through your photo booth hire. The beautiful foliage was a resounding feature of Oliver and Julie’s day. We thought their print design was the perfect complimentary choice. Guest Cam was also a huge hit at the reception with guests snapping away dozens of memories throughout the evening.

Thank you for having us along to help celebrate, Oliver and Julie! It was an absolute pleasure.

A note from the Bride…

Adelaide Wedding

“The whole ceremony was all about us. From the celebrant giving a background of how became to be and our emcees who designed a program to be an evening about the newly weds. It was an intimate wedding where we got to celebrate, enjoy and have fun with all our guests. Despite the heavy pour on a summer day, the venue organisers and suppliers were professionals and helpful that everything else was smooth and almost perfect”

Wedding Vendor Selection

Wedding vendor selection to enhance your wedding celebration is both daunting and exciting. On the plus side, there’s so many vendors and there’s no shortage of choice. On the down side, there’s so many vendors and so much choice 😉

From price to product, choosing the right wedding vendor can really make or break an awesome celebration.  Here are our best tips for choosing the right wedding vendor for your big day.

Read plenty of reviews

Whether it be on Google, Easy Weddings, ABIA or from John and Nelly down the road, look for reviews not crafted by the business owner. Genuine feedback and reviews from past customers will always give you a great idea of what to expect on the day. Trust past client experience to give you an honest opinion – the good, the bad and the ugly!

Wedding Vendor

Reputation is everything

We’ll say it once and we will say it again! A vendor with a great industry reputation is the right vendor for you. Choose the wedding vendor that is experienced and preferably has been to your venue before. Don’t select a vendor who thinks they should be paid to practice. Your venue refers certain vendors for a reason. Chat to them and find out why.

Wedding Vendor

Product quality

Take a good look at the product offering. Does this visually meet your requirements? Ensure your vendor is using high quality equipment to give you a high quality experience. Let’s use photo booths as an example. At In the Booth we use a professional DSRL digital camera to capture your images in high resolution. An iPad or webcam camera will not produce high-quality photographs.

Wedding Vendor

Inclusions & hidden extras

Make sure you check out all the inclusions that your vendor is able to offer for your hire period. Our photo booths are all inclusive in regards to our hire packages, meaning no sneaky extra fees or additional costs. For example, it’s common for a guest book to be an added extra with photo booth hire.

Wedding Guest Book

Wedding vendor support

Will your vendor be taking care of the delivery and set up on the day of your event or will you be left to do this yourself? Will someone be on hand if a guest has questions? With so many exciting things happening on your big day, the last thing you need to be doing is running around trying to put together your balloon garland!

Wedding Vendor

Communication

Don’t make excuses for your wedding vendor communication! Taking weeks to respond to your queries is not acceptable even if they’ve “been busy”. Customer service is an essential part of event planning. There’s always someone waiting so planning can move forward. Quality vendors don’t keep their customers waiting.

Pets at Weddings

Pets at weddings are simply one of our favourite things! When all our family members are gathered it only makes sense to include our furry family members as well. There are so many super cute ways you can incorporate your pets into your wedding.

One of the first things to decide is whether it’s practical or possible to have your pets physically present at your wedding. Pets at weddings certainly add a new dynamic to proceedings! For example, if you’re having a destination wedding, your pets will most likely be off the invite list. However this certainly doesn’t mean you can still include them. Today on the blog we’ve got some great ideas for including pets at weddings either in person or from afar.

Hire a Pet Assistant Service

Wedding pet assistants are a fantastic way to keep the stress levels on your day low. Hiring a professional means you won’t have to worry about your pets being hungry, thirsty or…ahem…having accidents at inappropriate times. Wedding pet services are experienced at what they do and come prepared for all situations. What’s more, most also offer services where your pet can be taken home after their role in the day is complete. For example, your pet may be part of the ceremony but not able to attend the reception. The last thing you want to be worrying about is which family member has to take the unruly labradoodle home!

Pets at your Wedding Ceremony

Cue the ‘aaaawwwwww’s from your guests! Ring bearing pets are simply gorgeous and will get your entire guest list smiling, guaranteed. There are so many sweet options online for page boy and flower girl outfits for dogs and even cats! Remember this important job will depend on your best friend’s mood on the day. If they are particularly shy or extra rambunctious, it may be too much for them. However if your pet is well trained and loves people it’s probably the idea job for them on your wedding day!

Wedding Photos with your Pet

Definitely run this one past your photographer with plenty of time before your day so they can plan. Bridal party photos including your pets are gorgeous and will make such a sweet memory. Remember to request your photographer take some photos of you with your pet on their own too.

Pet Photo Table Numbers

If having your pet present on the day isn’t possible, consider incorporating them into your table numbers! Different photos of your pet on each table or small ornaments or models make super sweet details.

Pets on your Cake

This idea is one of our favourites. Talk to your wedding cake supplier about how your pets can be incorporated into your wedding cake. We’ve seen everything from custom toppers to paw prints and full sugar models! This is such a great way to include your pets in an important part of your wedding – after all, what guests doesn’t walk up for a close up look at the cake? Your cake supplier will help you think creatively by asking about your wedding theme and hobbies. For example, it’s difficult to include horses at a wedding but how about bride and groom horses as your cake topper?

Pets in the Photo Booth

Pets are always welcome in our booths and on Guest Cam! Nothing beats the memories captured with your furry friends on your wedding day. We encourage all our couples with pets at weddings to take them into the booth for some happy snaps! If you can’t bring them along, how about adding your pet’s image to your instant photo booth prints? That way every guest will take home a printed memory with your furry bestie included. Cardboard cut outs of your pets are also fantastic fun in the booth!

This stunning wedding venue offers a beautiful function space to host your wedding and a lovely outdoor ceremony space amongst the gumtrees. Carly was the most stunning bride opting for a white ball gown with lace details. Carly’s bridesmaids wore a soft champagne coloured dresses that were complimented by soft pink and white flowers. We especially loved the natural greenery and native florals used to decorate the space and bouquets.

As the night kicked on, everyone kicked up their heels and moved to the dance floor. That’s when the party really got started! Guests loved the entertainment of the ever classic ‘Shoe Game’. This is where the bride and groom answer questions about the each other not knowing what the other has chosen.

Brenton and Carly’s guests absolutely loved using our Guest Cam feature. Our lovely couple held an intimate wedding however that didn’t stop them snapping over one hundred Guest Cams! GOLD COAST WEDDING VENUE

Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort

We love nothing more than a Gold Coast wedding, especially when hosted at Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort at Main Beach, Gold Coast. Corey and Rishelle chose to celebrate their most special day at this gorgeous beachside location. It’s hard to believe from their beautiful photos complete with palm trees that Corey and Rishelle hosted a winter wedding!

Guests gathered outdoors for a stunning afternoon ceremony and later gathered in the Horizons room to kick up their heels and dance the night away.   Corey and Rishelle got to spend their special day with their smallest guest of honour, their daughter. Rishelle’s girls looked absolutely stunning in black while the groomsmen donned matching black ties with a stone grey jacket. We absolutely love the sweet and loving images provided by The Lane Creators.

Corey & Rishelle’s Wedding Reception at Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort

Once the formalities were over, Rishelle and Corey’s guests got right into the celebrations! Opting for a black backdrop, Corey and Rishelle’s guests hit the dancefloor and photo booth as the night kicked on. How fun are the heart glasses the couple chose to add to the props table for the night? Guests also utilised the beautiful white roses as props – a trend we love seeing! Corey and Rishelle choose our ‘Two Hearts Grey’ print design which matches in perfectly with their wedding colour scheme.  Style onQ was onsite to assist with Turing Rishelle and Corey’s wedding dreams into reality – providing beautiful florals and décor for the day. Aberfeldy Farm & Barn is the perfect country backdrop for your rustic but elegant wedding ceremony and reception. The enormous custom designed barn built in 2019 is located in Westbrook QLD. This gorgeous venue is ideal for weddings featuring a dedicated dance-floor space.

When travelling the long road out to Toowoomba, the first thought that pops into our mind is the stunning wedding venues! Aberfeldy is one of Toowoomba’s most loved wedding venues. Brad and Sarah chose to gather their nearest and dearest to celebrate their wedding at Aberfeldy Farm and Barn.

Aberfeldy is one of Toowoomba’s best known wedding venues.  Brad and Sarah chose to exchange their vows outside the barn, with guests moving inside to continue the celebrations. With stunning locations all over the property, Aberfeldy can offer a wedding experience like no other. The best part about the property you ask? It would have to be meeting the cows!

Brad and Sarah took full advantage of the stunning sunset views at Aberfeldy Farm and Barn. Once they said their ‘I Do’s’, Brad and Sarah’s bridal party was whisked away for a stunning sunset photoshoot – topped off with popping bottles of champagne.

Sarah’s stunning long-sleeved lace wedding dress matched perfectly with the rustic country style of Aberfeldy. We love the drama the train of her dress brought to the photos. The groomsmen looked dapper in classic black and white dinner suits, while the bridesmaids brought it all together with their shades of green dresses. Brad and Sarah chose to complement their theme with fresh sunflowers for bouquets, menu decoration, cake topper and centrepieces.

Brad & Sarah’s Wedding Reception at Aberfeldy Farm & Barn

While Sarah and Brad were busy spending their first few hours as husband and wife, their guests gathered at the Barn waiting for the reception to kick off for the night. In the Booth Toowoomba had the absolute pleasure of joining Sarah and Brad for their wedding reception.

The reception kicked off with a live singer and fun love heart glasses for guests.  We absolutely loved the rustic cake Sarah and Brad chose for their nuptials; we especially love the custom ‘Brad and Sarah’ cake topper!  Sarah and Brad chose to continue their nature inspired theme with their leafy green photo strip design.

The iconic Chateau Yaldara is located in the southern Barossa Valley town of Lyndoch South Australia. The historic Manor House is the centrepiece function space for weddings and events. This beautiful function space includes the ground floor and the lawns in front of the Manor House. It’s super exciting for couples to be able to hire this space as a ‘blank canvas’ to be able to create the wedding of their dreams!

David and Vanessa’s autumn Barossa Valley wedding was everything dreams are made of. Our Adelaide couple used their beautiful surroundings as colour inspiration for their day.

Let’s start with Vanessa’s incredible gown! Isn’t it incredible? We thought Vanessa looked every inch the princess bride! Vanessa’s gown’s gorgeous beading detail, shoulder straps and layered chiffon skirt just say dreamy to us. The simple Tiara and flowing locks complete the very pretty picture.

One of our favourite features of David and Vanessa’s wedding is how their lovely bridesmaids wore alternating colour gowns in rust and slate. The autumn palette tied is so beautifully with those stunning blooms! Aren’t the ladies’ bouquets perfection?

David & Vanessa’s Wedding Reception at Chateau Yaldara

The theme for the day carried through to their Chateau Yaldara reception. Beautiful matching floral adorned the room and the wedding cake. Wine barrels and candlelight added to the atmosphere as you would expect at a winery wedding!

After the formalities of the evening, guests hit the dance floor and In the Booth Adelaide started pumping! David and Vanessa had chosen our super popular silver glitter backdrop for their photo booth hire couple with a classic print style.

Guest Cam was a highlight of the night with so many fun photos snapped! In addition, some of our favourite Guest Cams of the night were of David and Vanessa’s first dance. A hush fell over the crowd when the gorgeous couple first took to the floor!

Blackbird Brisbane Wedding for Joshua & Sonya

BLACKBIRD BRISBANE WEDDING VENUE

About Blackbird Brisbane

It’s hard to have a better location than Blackbird Brisbane! The superb riverfront address looks out over the Brisbane River vista including the Story Bridge. It’s a gorgeous setting for events. Furthermore, customers may just be lucky enough for a incredible lights display on the bridge if it’s a special occasion!

Blackbird Brisbane spans two levels of riverside real estate. This iconic space is home to a stunning function and wedding venue, three secluded private dining rooms and a popular bar. Blackbird is the place to be for after work drinks or a night out on the town. In the Booth Brisbane has been attending weddings and functions at Blackbird for many years! We never get tired of that view of In the Booth’s hometown.

Blackbird Events Wedding 2

Joshua and Sonya’s wedding was a classically styled Brisbane affair! St Stephen’s Cathedral was the venue for their fairy-tale ceremony. Sonya was every inch the princess bride with her gorgeous train flowing over the cathedral’s altar steps. How beautiful is the stained glass window backdrop of their traditional church ceremony? The kiss outside the church after they were announced man and wife was a movie-star moment!

Sonya’s princess style gown was adorned with sparkle and had a dreamy cloud-like effect. The handsome groom was set apart from his groomsmen with the unique style of a white dinner jacket over black shirt, tie and slacks. The groomsmen were monochrome in the opposite pallate with black jackets and white shirts. We loved this subtle point of difference!

Sonya’s ladies wore white satin one-shoulder gowns. In addition, how fun to have your bridesmaids also dressed in white! The ladies completed their look with strappy heels, high ponies and gorgeous white roses.

Joshua & Sonya’s Wedding Reception at Blackbird Brisbane

The celebrations continued at Blackbird Brisbane for Joshua and Sonya’s reception. Their three-tier snow white cake perfectly matched the timeless feel of their day. Hundreds of candles reflected in the glass outlook to the Brisbane Story Bridge. Joshua and Sonya’s guests enjoyed a delicious meal to start. The new Mr & Mrs took to the floor amongst indoor sparkulars and danced on a cloud.

The booth kicked the party up a notch! In addition Joshua and Sonya had chosen a classic black print design and backdrop to suit the feel of their day. Guests danced the night away and In the Booth Brisbane got a work out capturing every last wedding day memory!

Last but not least, thanks so much for boothing with us Jonathan and Sonya! We wish you every happiness in your lives together.
