Blackbird Brisbane Wedding for Joshua & Sonya

BLACKBIRD BRISBANE WEDDING VENUE

About Blackbird Brisbane

It’s hard to have a better location than Blackbird Brisbane! The superb riverfront address looks out over the Brisbane River vista including the Story Bridge. It’s a gorgeous setting for events. Furthermore, customers may just be lucky enough for a incredible lights display on the bridge if it’s a special occasion!

Blackbird Brisbane spans two levels of riverside real estate. This iconic space is home to a stunning function and wedding venue, three secluded private dining rooms and a popular bar. Blackbird is the place to be for after work drinks or a night out on the town. In the Booth Brisbane has been attending weddings and functions at Blackbird for many years! We never get tired of that view of In the Booth’s hometown.

Blackbird Events Wedding 2

Joshua and Sonya’s wedding was a classically styled Brisbane affair! St Stephen’s Cathedral was the venue for their fairy-tale ceremony. Sonya was every inch the princess bride with her gorgeous train flowing over the cathedral’s altar steps. How beautiful is the stained glass window backdrop of their traditional church ceremony? The kiss outside the church after they were announced man and wife was a movie-star moment!

Sonya’s princess style gown was adorned with sparkle and had a dreamy cloud-like effect. The handsome groom was set apart from his groomsmen with the unique style of a white dinner jacket over black shirt, tie and slacks. The groomsmen were monochrome in the opposite pallate with black jackets and white shirts. We loved this subtle point of difference!

Sonya’s ladies wore white satin one-shoulder gowns. In addition, how fun to have your bridesmaids also dressed in white! The ladies completed their look with strappy heels, high ponies and gorgeous white roses.

Joshua & Sonya’s Wedding Reception at Blackbird Brisbane

The celebrations continued at Blackbird Brisbane for Joshua and Sonya’s reception. Their three-tier snow white cake perfectly matched the timeless feel of their day. Hundreds of candles reflected in the glass outlook to the Brisbane Story Bridge. Joshua and Sonya’s guests enjoyed a delicious meal to start. The new Mr & Mrs took to the floor amongst indoor sparkulars and danced on a cloud.

The booth kicked the party up a notch! In addition Joshua and Sonya had chosen a classic black print design and backdrop to suit the feel of their day. Guests danced the night away and In the Booth Brisbane got a work out capturing every last wedding day memory!

Last but not least, thanks so much for boothing with us Jonathan and Sonya! We wish you every happiness in your lives together.

A note from the Bride…

Blackbird Brisbane Wedding

“The most important part of our day was being with our family and friends to celebrate our marriage especially as we had a lot of family and friends who travelled inter-state and overseas for the special day. The theme of our wedding was white, classic and classy. All of our suppliers were amazing and everything came together perfectly. We couldn’t of asked for a more perfect day to celebrate our love.”

Marybrooke Manor wedding for Kristopher & Jessica

MARYBROOKE MANOR WEDDING VENUE

About Marybrooke Manor

In the Booth Melbourne East has been attended beautiful weddings at the historic Marybrooke Manor for many years. It’s a super popular Dandenong Ranges venue and why wouldn’t it be. Who wouldn’t want to get married at a beautiful Manor?!

Marybrooke’s historic estate dates back to the 1940’s. Nestled on the edges of the Sherwood Forest, even it’s location is straight out of a fairy tale. Marybrooke Manor offers the enviable advantage of 20 four star accommodation suites so your bridal party can stay in style.

In the Booth Melbourne East is predominately located in the Dining Room when celebrating weddings. In addition we have also been set up in the Lounge of Foyer. Our location depends on your guest seating plan. The lovely Deborah at Marybrooke will be able to advise you on the best location for the booth at your wedding.

Marybrooke Manor Wedding

Kristopher and Jessica’s wedding was just gorgeous! Jessica was every inch the picture perfect bride in full lace gown. Kristopher stood out from his groomsmen with the unique choice of a different coloured suit which we loved. Jessica’s beautiful bridesmaids wore the most stunning blue gowns that all differed slightly in style. In addition the handsome groomsmen modelled blue ties and pocket squares to match the ladies. Unique touches such as these are what really makes a wedding day your own. Kristopher and Jessica certainly achieved that!

A few light sprinkles of rain on the day did nothing to dampen everyone’s spirits. In fact one of our favourite images from their day is that gorgeous photo under the umbrella. Lemon and Lime Photography caught the perfect moment at the perfect time wouldn’t you agree?

Marybrooke Manor Wedding Reception

Kristopher and Jessica’s reception kicked off in the evening at the timeless Marybrooke Manor. A gorgeous combination of white roses and gum leaf greenery dressed the guest tables. Candles twinkled among the white napery and florals. Soft white draping and a breathtaking chandelier set the stage for the bride and groom’s first dance.

The best was yet to come when the bride and bridesmaids surprised everyone (especially Kristopher!) with a feature number singing Shania Twain’s ‘From this Moment On’. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

Guests quickly got stuck into the party phase of the evening. The photo booth went off with a bang! Kristopher and Jessica chose our ever-favourite silver glitter backdrop We thought it set off the bride and groom portraits perfectly! Our lovely couple chose our ‘Two Hearts’ print design in soft pink to complement their sweet colour theme.

Last but not least, congratulations Kristopher and Jessica! Thank you for booking with In the Booth Melbourne East. We wish you both every happiness in your lives together ❤️

A note from the Bride…

Marybrooke Manor Wedding

“We didn’t have a theme per se, although we did have a colour theme/motif. Ours was blue (bride’s favourite) and green (groom’s). In my opinion, what made our day uniquely ours is the fact that I, together with my bridesmaids and my brother (on the piano), sang a surprise song, “From this Moment On” to the groom.”
