Matthew and Vanessa celebrated their nuptials with a Dandenong Ranges photo booth at the gorgeous Lyrebird Falls in Victoria. The beautiful indoor ceremony was shared with their family and friends. Later on, the party moved outside for some photo opportunities in the vibrant green gardens of Lyrebird Falls. As an extra touch of fun and colour to the photos, the bridal party set off confetti cannons!

Jamie and Jazmin pulled off a Sol Gardens wedding fairy tale that even Cinderella herself would be jealous of! The gorgeous couple tied the knot in the grounds of the stunning Sol Gardens in the Currumbin Valley. Jazmin’s four bridesmaids arrived in a white stretch limousine before Jazmin made a show stopping entrance in a white caged cart, pulled along by two gorgeous horses. The cart added the perfect fairy tale touch with the addition of pale pink flowers and vines.

There is one thing that you will never hear anyone say about a wedding photo booth and that is “it was boring”. No matter the size of the wedding, there is never a dull moment in the booth! With all of your guests having a boothing good time, and yourself and your new husband or wife making the social rounds, it is easy to forget to stop and have a moment (or twenty) in the booth.

It isn’t uncommon for us to hear from our couples that they wish they had more photos in the booth themselves. Just as you will write a list of the must-have shots for your photographer, we implore you to also make yourself a list of your must-have photobooth photos!

Ethan and Marjorie tied the knot in December 2018 at the gorgeous Poet’s Lane in Sherbrooke. Their outdoor gazebo reception was surrounded by the stunning gardens Poet’s Lane is known for. Marjorie looked phenomenal in a white strapless sweetheart gown with lace detail and a belted waist embellished with glistening crystals. Marjorie’s hair was braided in half up style and coupled with a sprig of baby’s breath.

Everyone has heard of the well-known wedding traditions, but do you know their history? Enjoy a trip back in time as we investigate why so many wedding traditions exist today!

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

Most people have heard the rhyme “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”. Did you know that the original rhyme was actually “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe”?
This rhyme for the bride originated in the Victorian Era and essentially was a symbol of luck. Something old symbolised the bride’s past and continuity. Something new represented optimism for her future with her new husband. “Borrowed” was generally from a happily married family member or friend as a token of future happiness. The colour blue signifies purity, fidelity and love. It was thought that having something blue would bring these things to the new marriage. Brides would then pop a sixpence in their shoe which was thought to bring good luck. At some point in history this tradition was dropped though!
