Photobooths and other party and wedding entertainment…

Dance the night away…

It’s not unique but that’s because popularity trumps it! At least 90% of your guests are going to be keen to bust a move!  Photo booths and dance floors go hand in hand and we’ve spent many a night watching guests run from the photo booth to the dance floor and back again. A special occasion isn’t the time to get cousin Matt to handle things with his iPhone and speaker dock. It’s time to bring in the wedding entertainment professionals. An experienced DJ or band has the skill set to adjust the music to suit the crowd. In addition they know what it takes to get people up off their seats (and keep them there!). Our photo booth attendants have witnessed many an event where the dance floor has remained empty due to inexperience. Do your research. Read live reviews and ask for referrals from friends and family.

Make it sparkle…

What’s a celebration without a little pyrotechnics? Fireworks in any shape or form are guaranteed to bring the ooh-ahh factor! For a corporate function fireworks could be incorporated as an after-dinner surprise for guests or make an amazing exit backdrop for the bride and groom. For the budget conscious backyard celebration, sparklers can be equally as beautiful and even more intimate. Not to mention sparkles of any size make for fantastic photos! Some of our favourite Guest Cam images captured via the In the Booth app include gorgeous moments as the bride and groom depart under an arch of sparkles!

Let’s get quizzical…

Fun + cost effective = everybody wins! Get creative and print out some ‘pub style’ quizzes for your guests to complete throughout the night. You could go for an Eye Spy theme or see how well your guests know the guest/s of honour with a list of questions. If you’ve made the awesome decision to hire a photo booth (!) put together a list of photos you’d love your guests to take – some for special memories and some just for fun! Set some challenges for guests to capture in the photo booth such as photos of their entire table together or a photo with the bride’s bouquet. In our experience, things can get pretty competitive between wedding and party guests as they strive to out-do their friends!

Feed the animals…

Is there anything more exciting than an unexpected late night snack? Yep, food can double as awesome wedding entertainment! In the wee hours, give your guests an extra surge of energy for the dance floor with a surprise fun snack. Try ice cream trucks, pancakes and waffles, mini cheeseburgers, a milk and cookies bar or even marshmallows and hot chocolates around a campfire. Whatever your budget, you’re bound to find some delicious morsels to fit! We have seen many a late night photo booth session of guests enjoying their midnight snacks.

Feelin’ flashy…

Punch ‘wedding party flash mob’ into You Tube and you’ll be entertained yourself! A surprise flash mob will shock your guests in the best possible way (and has the added bonus of potentially turning your bridal party into a You Tube sensation!). The choreography doesn’t have to be fancy and remember there’s safety in numbers. Make an awesome song choice and you’ll figure out the rest! It will be a great excuse to catch up with your bridal party in the lead up to your wedding for those oh-so-entertaining rehearsals! The photo booth is often located near the dance floor – what about working the booth into your dance routine? Cue the cheers from the crowd as the bride and groom magically appear from behind the photo booth curtain and take charge of the dance floor!
