Gordon Country Wedding for Joel & Shaneen
A Gordon Country wedding was the order of the day for Joel and Shaneen’s nuptials! The Rivergums Barn is the breathtaking backdrop for a Gordon Country wedding reception. Towering mountains of the Great Dividing Range ad heritage listed rainforest surround this incredible venue.
In the Booth Toowoomba makes the leisurely hour drive for a Gordon Country wedding quite often! The magnificent barn was custom built in 2016 by a 5th generation family owned cattle station. In addition, it has its own full commercial kitchen and bar. Larger weddings aren’t a problem with Rivergums Barn fitting 150 seated or 300 cocktail style. In addtion, bi-fold doors open onto a stunning Beer Garden and veranda under twinkling festoon bulbs.
If you’re planning a weekend extravaganza, a Gordon Country wedding may be just the ticket. There’s accommodation for over 80 people plus unlimited camping opportunities!
Joel and Shaneen didn’t have the easiest road to their wedding day. One thing that is always out of the couple’s and every supplier’s control is the weather! Joel and Shaneen were absolute champions when flooding was behind a last-minute date change for their day. Finally, the weather on their day was glorious so as our beautiful bride mentions below, it was meant to be!
Shaneen’s bouquet was simply breathtaking. The autumn colours of the blooms were like they were designed for a perfect country wedding. Not to mention Joel was the dapper groom in his classic suit and modern floral print tie. The beautiful florals by the talented Jacqui M Designs followed through to their ceremony arbour and cake as well.
Toowoomba Photo Booth Hire at Gordon Country
Without a doubt our favourite feature from our country couple’s wedding was their custom made “head” cut outs! Guests were able to use these in the booth for photos and they were super fun. Such a simple DIY idea that anyone can do at home! By the same token we always recommend photo booth props that enhance your photos, not overwhelm them. Shaneen and Joel hit that brief right on the nose with their hilarious face props!
A note from the bride…
“Our wedding theme was country rustic. Our day was very unique, due to flooding, mud and a last minute change of date from the 14th to the 15th May (as we couldn’t get into Gordon Country due to flooding). We definitely will never forget the weekend of our wedding. What made it even truly magical was after a several days of rain, we woke up on the 15th May, the sun was shining, the birds were singing and you wouldn’t have even noticed that only 12 hours earlier it was pouring. It was meant to be!”
