PHOTO BOOTH HIRE REQUIREMENTS

Photobooth Hire Specifications

Photobooth hire specifications are the little details that can make or break an event. The most basic (often seen as boring!) details can truly be the difference between a smooth event and a problematic one. The best events are the ones where everyone knows what to expect and what is expected. Technicalities can throw a spanner in the works right when you don’t need one. Plan A is always the preferred option but Plan B is where crisis are averted and the show goes on! Photobooth hire specifications mean your venue will know what to expect upon our arrival and our team can bump in without any assistance.

Power Specifications

We tried running the booths with a monkey and a crayon but it didn’t work out so well 😜 Yes, we need power to operate! Appropriate power is essential for the booth to run smoothly. One of the most common technical issues we encounter is unreliable power. Power for an event isn’t like running power for your household! Event power draws serious current when catering and DJ’s fire up at the same time. This can effect the photobooth. The booth requires a standard 3 pin single phase connection (GPO). It needs a minimum of 5 amps available supply at no less than 230v (1200 watts).

The footprint of the booth is one of our most common photobooth hire specification questions. The floorspace within your venue is at a premium. All the elements of your day; guests, food and entertainment, need to fit within the available floorplan. Then there’s access for staff and pathways to bathrooms and room left over for the dance floor. Our compact footprint contains everything we need to operate within 2.3m x 1.3m total. Customers are often surprised by our compact footprint when the booth makes quite the statement in person!

Outdoor Requirements

We attend outdoor events frequently with our booths. The booth is able to be situated outside if it will be placed in a protected area on a flat surface (such as concrete, decking or smooth pavers – grass is not suitable) and will be under cover/protected from the elements in case of bad weather. Additional flooring can be added to your hire for an extra cost if required. We ask that a ‘Plan B’ location is available in the event that weather is unsuitable for an outdoor location on the day. Photographic equipment is sensitive and cannot get wet.

Bump In

We require a minimum of 1.5 hours access to your venue location for bump in and set up. Please confirm with your venue that this time will be available for our team to set up. Bump in time does not encroach on your booked hours; we complete this on our own time. Additional set up time may be required if we are not able to have vehicle access close to the booth’s location. Additional distance to unload our equipment, access via stairs or elevator or other elements may require additional bump in time.

Bump Out

Bump out is generally a little faster than bump in as the time for testing the equipment is removed, and so it takes around an hour. Again, the time to bump out depends on ease of access with our vehicle to the booth’s location. Loading dock supplier queues and the event finishing on time can all play a part in the bump out time. Unless arranged prior with your venue, we will bump out at the conclusion of your hire. Our host venues generally prefer this as their function spaces are clear for events that may be taking place the following day.

Supplier Meal

One of our booking T&C’s request that a supplier meal and alcoholic drinks are provided for your Photo Booth Attendant. Most venues will include a certain amount of supplier meals for support staff such as your band, photographer, DJ etc as external food cannot be bought onto their premises. Simply chat to your venue and find out their requirements. Our team member will most likely have their meal during speeches or other formalities. Your venue will advise you on when they usually serve supplier meals.
